How a healing balm opened the door for discovery

A few years ago I realised I had been disregarding one of Yeshua's teachings that as his disciples we are to go and heal the sick & share the good news about who He is. I had been practicing the second part but not the healing so I began to pray and fast, studying the scriptures about how healing happens. In 2021 Yeshua then taught me in first person when he healed me of Osteoarthritis which had suddenly flared up out of nowhere in 2020. I began to look for folks who may be open to healing.

It would have been over a year before Mim came to my office that the awareness of her condition had been made known to me via two different people. It seems almost as if I was prepared for that moment. I would not have had any understanding or empathy for the amount of pain she was in had I not met Sam who was located in Victoria. I had only communicated with Sam remotely but she helped me understand her struggle with TN and we had prayed together for her healing. She had gone on experience a healing journey.

So when I noticed Mim's post about experiencing a severe episode of trigeminal neuralgia I felt prompted to share about Sam with her. TN is a very painful condition of the nerves in the face, it can flare up and lay dormant.

When Mim attended on me to draw a Will not long after, I asked her whether she wanted to hear the healing story of Sam in Victoria and she was eager to hear.

I then shared with Mim that I was a follower of Yeshua and shared a bit about His authority to heal and how He had healed my hands. She said she knew I was a disciple of His which is due to the fact that I am spiritually open in my community and share content of a spiritual nature on my social media posts. This is intentional as it then allows those who are spiritually open and seeking to feel comfortable to converse with me about spiritual matters. In our culture in Australia this is not a part of general conversation and it is often not even possible to know who a disciple of Yeshua is even if you are looking for one to find out more about Him.

Mim then shared with me about the contact she had had with the gospel when she was a young child and that she had continued her spiritual search all of her life. I could tell by the way that she spoke that she was still very open but just didn't know enough about the Way of Yeshua Messiah. She knew a little about Him but wasn't sure how the different religious doctrines all tied in.

Mim was willing to receive prayer in Yeshua's name for her face and following the simple teachings of the scriptures I anointed her with oil (I always carry it with me now) and laid hands on her whilst speaking the words of faith releasing the healing power of Yeshua to begin to flow in her life. I encouraged her that as she began to study the Word of Yeshua he would continue to heal her life in many ways not yet imagined. Over the next few days Mim experienced relief in her face and let me know with updates.

I knew that the next steps would be to pray for her and invite her to begin to study the Word so she could find out who Yeshua really is through her own discovery. So I continued to pray for her and send her a note of encouragement here and there with some passages.

I then opened a bible in a year reading group and invited her to participate. She began to study the Word for herself using our reading map and I started to receive enquiring emails asking further questions that showed me she was really starting to drill in for the gold. In the quietness and privacy of her own life, Yeshua has gently come alongside this genuinely seeking lady and through His word revealed the mystery of who He is.

I consider it an honour to be an emissary for Yeshua. I'm grateful for my legal profession which is a way to serve my community and keep the lights on at home! I always pray for my clients and have many stories about how they have received a wonderful outcome due to prayer. I am always hoping to find someone in search of the true gold. I see each client as a valuable individual, a child of our Creator with their own story. Not all are at the point in their life where they are searching but some will be and I pray that I can be observant enough to listen for the clues.

I hope Mim will write her own story that I can share one day. The Holy Spirit has helped her along the way, teaching her and has brought other disciples alongside her in the journey. He has also provided for her financially. Mim has decided to be baptised in Yeshua and unless I have already missed it we will be meeting up to baptise her and I will no doubt hear a lot more in person about all that has unfolded in her spiritual journey in 2022.
