Life is better with friends and cake!

No one bakes a beautiful cake to eat alone....
Well some might but I always think it's so much more enjoyable shared.
Today we baked this lovely cake from Nigella (mine didn't quite look that good) for our friend's birthday and met for a picnic at the botanic gardens here in Hervey Bay. P is a new friend and our children are the similar age. Her family is quite new to the bay and so it has been great to meet one another.
As the children played in the garden today a prayer need came up in our conversation so we were able to bring this matter together to Abba in prayer, together with some other needs.
I know we both felt so refreshed as we enjoyed the shade of the canopy, friendship all in the presence of our loving Creator. Living this way brings a peace that passes understanding.
"Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell Abba what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience Abba’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Yeshua." (Philippians 4:6-7)
