Our house rules!

We have a family private chat going at the moment and a post came through about household rules which got me thinking...

So I've been writing down some ideas that I want to put together as guidestones perhaps that all members will benefit from.

So without further ado ....

Foundational Principles for our Household

1. Regular encouragement of others

2. Show each member they are valued in word and deed

3. Courteous speech

4. Respect of each members property, privacy and confidence

5. We keep our word and fulfil our promises

6. We allow time out for members when they need it

7. Literacy development is encouraged daily

8. Show gratitude toward one another for good behaviour and service

9. We enjoy Shabbat together and live by the principles given to us by Yahweh

10. Three nutritious meals each day

11. Additional duties shall be rewarded

12. Children shall be in bed by 7pm

13. Discipline of poor behaviour shall be proportionate

14. We foster honesty by forgiving faults which are voluntarily confessed with contrition
